When you click to watch the video you will need to hit the button to view it “full screen” otherwise it will be hard to make out the details on the Top 10 auctions.
It seems like you should sit down and watch this video with a cup of tea! Would you believe that to close out 2011 that nine of the ten best auctions that sold on eBay were not traditional American items? I pulled the preview image for the video to hit the only big hitter from the USA and that is an Anthracite Council two-line red and white strip that was sewn onto an otherwise unremarkable shirt. This particular RWS is rated an “11” and has a value of up to $2000! Watch the video to see what it sold for. The Top 10 also featured several World Jamboree patches including one from 1937 and a pair from 1947. The rest of the list is made up of British items that sold for hundreds of pounds (and dollars!) on eBay.
I have included links to all the Top 10 auctions on this show notes page so that after you watch the video if you want to go in and take a closer look you can do that. These auctions were the top sellers for December 26 – 31 in the Boy Scout category of eBay.
