Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 12, 2016

I’ve always found it really interesting (being that I live in NC) that the only council issued patch that is personalized from the 50th anniversary is the “Rich Square” issue below. Because of that it fits into a lot of peoples themed collection for the 50th and is always a popular piece when I can put on in the Hot Finds Newsletter.

I have several friends that have already been named to staff for the 2017 National Jamboree and have received their patches. It seems like now that the Summit is up and running they are coming up with creative programming that is drawing in people. I believe there is a unique Venturing event there this coming summer along with an invitation only OA event. Is this a new collecting opportunity?.

This weekend I’ll begin dismantling my patch office as we move towards listing the house for sale at the end of the month. I don’t want to include my nice shelving when we sell the house so it has to come down. However, I just bought another collection so at some point I’m going to have to realize I can’t keep bringing more cloth into the house!

Many of the items listed below are part of my 50% off sale that is going to end this weekend. I’ve got my council activity patches and district activity patches marked down ready to move over on my eBay store at Patchblanket.com.
