Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 14, 2020

Yesterday I went live on Facebook to sell the next batch of 100+ flaps from a large collection that I’ve been running through the Comment Sold system. If you missed it no worries all of the items are now available on www.ScoutPatchLive.com just click on “shop all items”.

Tomorrow I’m going to spend the bulk of the day driving to go pick up a collection. I usually try and get people to mail me packages but this one is a little different. Sometimes it’s better just to do things in person and even though it’s the day after Valentines Day I’m going on the road to get more patches.

Check out the BSA gnome featured in this block. One of the cool things that will be in the silent auction at the Charlotte TOR is an artist’s proof for a similar gnome made for the 2010 Centennial. The folks at the Charlotte warehouse were very generous and donated it to support the event. In March I’ll start an online process where people can place a bid online for the very special prototype items that have been donated.

I am auctioning off almost 150 neckerchiefs on eBay with many of these being old camp issues. Camp neckerchiefs are one of those things its hard to value since interest varies wildly from one area to the next. My answer is just to throw them up at auction that let the chips fall.

Today I’m going to bring home some patches for Patrick and I to sort and scan. He told his friend at the bus stop this week that he now works for his dad and was pretty proud of that. So Friday night while his sister is making cupcakes and watching a movie with her boyfriend we might be scanning cloth. 🙂
