Well my favorite piece in this block has to be the jacket that is hanging in my closet. I may get the story wrong but I believe the Pedro wool jacket was an incentive to get professional Scouts to increase Boy’s Life subscriptions. At least that’s the story that was passed down to me. I think it was issued in the 1970s and is pretty classic. The gentlemen selling this XL below actually writes that he has two and is willing to throw in the dupe for the same price to the winning bidder.

There is a seller out of VA that should be very happy with today’s issue as I’ve featured several of his auctions. I am thinking about bidding on the Lodge 463 flap myself – that’s a good one I don’t have.

I don’t know if it explains the strong bidding but there is a patch on the Air Explorer shirt below that I’ve never seen. It’s green and yellow and says “Advisor Trainer”. I don’t think it’s a BSA issue since I certainly haven’t seen it in my Senior Scout reference books.

My son was out sick two days this week with strep throat. I took advantage of the down time to do a complete inventory of all the boxes in my eBay store inventory. I put hands on over 8,000 unique items. To my surprise I turned up hundreds of patches in those boxes that were not live on eBay. I pulled those and will be getting them ready in a new batch next week. It was sorta like Christmas finding a $100 patch that was just sitting there lonely waiting for some attention.
