People love a grab bag, and at only 50 cents per patch, there isn’t a whole lot at stake. If you can run into a couple of nice patches in the lot, you might even drive the price on the rest of the lot to 10 cents a patch.
At one OA conclave auction that I attended, they used to offer a sealed box with unknown contents. They routinely went for well over $100 which really surprised me. Sometimes there was great stuff in it, sometimes not. It was a real gamble.
