Conclaves Climbing To The Top
This trio of Order of the Arrow meeting/conclave patches ended last week on eBay with surprising results. What many people want to know is how did a 1986 issue sell for over $300. I don’t know for sure but one would have to guess its an award patch or some otherwise very limited issue. During the 1980s there were several of these sorta issues in my back yard – the Dixie Fellowship with many of them now worth hundreds.

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
