Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter March 19, 2017

At the lodge event patch trading was actually on the schedule Friday and Saturday night. In addition Tim Hellaby II ran a class Saturday on how to design patches. It was pretty neat to see some younger buy as crazy about thread as I am.

I will try and post all this up on CarolinaOA.com later in the week but one really interesting item was approved by the youth. Our council Jamboree contingent is combined with the Georgia/Carolina Council this year. There is going to be a joint flap issued with both Santee 116 and Bob White 87. The boys on our side approved the flap and down in Augusta, GA they were doing the same at their fellowship.

Santee Lodge is also one of those that is taking a serious look at bringing back the OBV flap system after the national ban was lifted in December. The lodge rules and by-laws will have to be amended so this might be a drawn out process but it has momentum.

Up on eBay I’ve got 158 auctions running with a bunch that end tomorrow night. Many of these are consignment pieces that are from National and World Jamborees.
