We had a great TOR this weekend in Concord, North Carolina!!!! Lots of swapping (patches and dead presidents) took place. We had 16 dealers that purchased 23 tables. We had approximately 25 walk-ins. There were 8 BSA councils represented including Central North Carolina, Old North State, Piedmont, Mecklenburg, Blue Ridge Mountains, Old Hickory, and Tuscarora. We even had representation from the Gulf Ridge Council located in the Tampa, Florida area. Again, another great TOR!!!!! This was Troop 5’s second time at hosting this event. We are already planning a third time next year. If you participated this year we would like to say “THANK YOU”!!!! If you did not, we certainly hope to see you next year.

Rick I’m glad it was a success. I had back to back Scouting weekends in late April with the NC Conclave and The Dixie so I could not pull another kitchen pass. I’m glad you guys are going to hold it again next year. Perhaps I’ll work out a miracle and make it this time around.

Thanks Jason!! I fully understand about the hectic schedule. Sometimes it seems that there is just not enough time to do everything we want or need to do. You were missed! I was asked several times if you had signed up to be there.

If you or others on this forum can offer any advice on how to improve “walk-in” attendance at the trade-o-ree I would be most appreciative. I just felt that our number of “walk-ins” was kind of low. On Friday night we had a pretty good showing. But, on Saturday it was real slow. I’m just wondering if we are scheduling it during a bad time of the year. Springtime equates to pretty weather which equates to vacations, yard work, etc. I’m just wondering if scheduling it during the winter would be a better idea. What do you and the others on this forum think?

Thanks!
