Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 14, 2017

Sitting down with the collection owner over lunch he lamented that in his area there used to be TORs all the time. In my mind it seems like there are more new shows popping up so maybe the tide is turning. I think this is because the Internet makes it so easy to send out information and more councils, lodges and units are discovering that a good show can be an effective fundraising event.

Every collection is different. What makes this on especially interesting for me is that it was super organized. The guy even had spreadsheets with quantities and price listed on each item. Usually I get things in cardboard boxes all strewn around but not this time.

Yesterday when I went to the PO Box the lady had to break out the hand truck for me. Packages have been showing up for the OA blind trade as well as some other deals I put together. This blind trade is for OA activity patches and so far several hundred have been committed.

You can still catch the 20% off sale I’m running on eBay. This one is focused on my inventory of National Jamboree items which is almost up to 1,000 individual listings. With the 2017 event just around the corner I’m hoping to move out some inventory.
