Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 15, 2016

Last night the charter school where I work held a silent auction to raise money for technology and security needs. The two items that I put in the auction did pretty well. The first was a Boy Scout haversack stuffed with BSA camping gear. I also had a similar style Girl Scout backpack with an official GSA canteen and mess kit. Both items went for over $100 which was pretty cool! We have lots of
Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts that attend the school.

As many of you are reading this issue I’ll be on the road headed to the SR7B Cardinal Conclave. I’ve done a bit of family juggling to get the weekend covered but it’s a long awaited vacation for me to get away, put on a uniform and fellowship with my brothers of the cloth.

eBay announced some big changes coming to fees regarding eBay stores this week. It all goes into effect on May 1st so you might want to pay attention if you have an eBay store. I’ve written a little on Facebook about this and I’ll try and draft a similar post on one of my blog sites soon.

In my eBay store I have a category labeled “other”. It is not something put there on purpose but rather a category eBay sticks items that I forget to assign. So this week my big sale is on the 137 items in that “other” category which includes OA, camp patches, CSPs and more.
