Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 24, 2020

I guess I am going to jump on eBays carrot. They have extended their offer of 50k free listings to store sellers through July. This gives me the perfect window to follow the strategy I described Tuesday. That means growing my smaller stores to move them towards 5k items which would then make sense to upgrade them to anchor stores. It’s cheaper to have 4 stores with 40k items ironically than to have 1 store with 40k items.

To that end I have started launching auctions every night for my Patchsniper Store with 50 up so far and adding another 25 every night. I think that having new auctions launch every night of the week can help juice the store sales. We shall see!

I am also using the same 25 auctions per night strategy on OApatch with 137 live auctions now. What I’ve discovered over the years is the more items you have in the store the more you sell. It’s very random what sells but the rule is if you don’t list it you can’t sell it.

The other project I mentioned in the newsletter was working on categories. I’ve got three of the accounts all cleaned up. My main Patchblanket store is going to be a monster but I’ve started on it too. Meanwhile I’ve decided to run a clearance sale on items that I’ve had listed for over 1000 days.

I have deleted the TOR calendar from the Friday issue. I just think there it too much uncertainty and certainly all the May TORs are off so it’s just a matter of what happens with NOAC.
