Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 14, 2019

This weekend was pretty stormy in the south and we got our share of rain on this trip. Saturday morning especially everything got a good soaking. But we were able to still complete the planned orienteering course and hike close to 6 miles total after the rain paused.

At the end of the month my next unit camping trip will knock me out of attending the Dixie Fellowship at Camp Bud Shiele. My consolation is that I’m “hosting” the pack at Camp Barstow for the spring camping trip. So I’ll get to show them around and be the tour guide for that weekend.

It’s not too early to be thinking about the 2020 Pre-NOAC Trade-O-Ree. Chris Jensen is already taking table reservations for this big event. Next year we are back to Michigan State which means once again the Lansing Center will be our host site. You can get the flier on my TOR calendar page.

I once again have 10 cent auctions ending tonight. These are some items that have been on my store for 18 months or longer without a sale and I felt like it was time to purge them! If you win a bunch make sure to request a combined invoice to save on s&h.

I will sleep well tonight! I got home to discover my wife in the back yard working weeds and mowing grass. So I jumped in since I was dirty already and helped for a couple of hours. Now that I’m showered and clean I see an early to bed time for this old Scout.
