Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter April 28, 2020

I called another Camp Director in my area that is an old friend last night. We both have the same mindset struggling with being the cheerleader to open camp and also trying to figure out how you can bend to make things safer without spoiling the experience. Late last night I heard of another camp in the Carolinas that has thrown in the towel for the summer (3 that I know of now). So my hope is that we can salvage summer camp even if it looks a little different.

In patch land I have settled into a routine of shipping M-W-F and using T-Th for projects and getting more listed. Today I hope to get some more auctions loaded into my listing program and scheduled for May. I’m leaning towards do the next live video sale this Thursday as I should have the office all to myself.

My auction strategy is going strong with 124 auctions live on OApatch. On another account I have 80 auctions listed with some of those ending in less than 48 hours.

I have not been able to attend the Monday night online cracker barrel meetings that John Pleasants has hosted for NC collectors but it’s a great idea. He has invited different people to do short talks for each event and I’ve seen good feedback. At 8 PM I am typically walking the dogs with my wife catching up on the days events so I will have to take a rain check for now.
