New Candidates for BigJim Awards Here!

The last three months have brought some disappointment for some sellers on eBay. Here is a run down of some high priced auctions that nobody put up a bid on. Plus a little commentary…

OA LODGE 214 GIMOGASH X2 MINT PERFECT RAREST NUMBER
$17,000 (is the the sky falling for big OA collections?)

AIR SCOUT / EXPLORER COLLECTION ACE MEDAL, SILVER AWARD
PATCHES UNIFORMS MERIT BADGES, PINS, FLAG, BOOKS, N/C +
(really nice stuff but is it worth $12,000?)

’63 World Jamboree PHIL CONTINGENT TRAGIC Items RAREST
($9,999 for a bunch of pictures? and nick nacks..are you kidding me?)

Scouting Collectors Society Eagle Scout csp set
($5000 for a bunch of private issue stuff…if he got 5k for this collection we are all going into the spoof business tomorrow!)

scout related cover sent to Baden Powell at Mafeking
($3300 for a used envelope…ok it was sent to BP but still!!)

Does anyone else have nominations? A BigJim award is simply put an auction that was way overpriced in your opinion. And since this is a discussion board everyone is entitled to their own opinion!!

OK–so someone is selling this “Very Rare Patch” for a starting bid of a mere $75.

Got to be an award of some sort for that one.
