A Vigil Caldwell pin that is less than $200 with less than 24 hours to go. Hmmmm…I guess everyone is waiting to jump in during the final seconds. Put that one on your watch list. If you like khaki and red communitry strips click on the lot that leads of this block as there are several in there including a Sea Scout blue and white state strip or NJ.

Ok now for a story about the Scouting brotherhood. Last night I went to dinner at a favorite joint from high school days wearing an OA t-shirt. Another diner at the restaurant stopped me and said he remembered me from Scouts (now 25 years ago!). We weren’t in the same troop even but he was in the other troop on base. Has something like that ever happened to you?

There are quite a few pre1950 patches in today’s issue of the Hot Finds. You can’t go wrong picking up patches that are 70 years old. Now if I could just find some of those from my home council I’d be excited.

Later this morning I’m making a run to go look at a collection. I dont have a good handle on what’s in there but what I know so far has me willing to drive a few hours out of my way to take a peek. For a patch hound is there anything better than the anticipation of getting first shot at a collection that spans 50 years of Scouting?
