Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter May 3, 2016

So I’ve spotted an auction that has some of my favorite Scouting items and I’m itching to place a bid on it. The auction has some nice old medals, 1940s Explorer insignia and a ton of good looking merit badges. The only problem is I think I have everything pictured in my collection already. Has that happened to you. This auction is temping because it’s all the stuff I”m interested in but I don’t know if I can bring myself to pay over $500 for dupes.

Recently I asked for ideas to use as podcast topics when I reboot my Scouting Hot Finds Radio. It’s good to see some of you are anxious to see it come back. I heard a few good ideas that I will definitely follow up on. I am guessing it will be August when this reboots but I will go ahead and tape some shows before then so I can stay on a biweekly schedule.

About a month from now my Scouts will be pushing off to a Girl Scout mini camp at the Summit. I haven’t been since the 2013 Jamboree and I’m looking forward to being a participant this time. When I move to Charlotte I’ll just be a few hours away so I’m hoping to make visiting the camp an annual event.

Well on May 1st the eBay policy for stores went into affect. I am guessing that the pricing will actually save me about $200 in fees per month. It is not very often that you get a deal like that. Essentially eBay is pushing people to grow their stores and the carrot is free listings. Either way at www.Patchblanket.com where I keep my eBay store I’m thankful for the deal.
