In the Friday issue I will have an updated TOR calendar along with a new video that I put together on my antique mall booth in Florence, SC. I want to thank the show organizers that continue to send me flyers and I take it as a healthy sign for the hobby that there are TORs just about every weekend across the country.

This weekend John Hal is putting on the 2nd Annual Alabama TOR in Northport, AL. Further east the 5th Annual Old North State TOR is taking place in Jamestown, NC. For those of you in the northeast you can attend the Knox Trail Council TOR being held at Camp Resolute in Bolton, MA.

This weekend I’m heading up a Girl Scout camping trip that will knock me out of attending either of the two southern shows that I know many of my patch collecting friends will be attending. One of my parents is already texting me about an impending tropical storm that might wash us out. I told her I never loose sleep over weather forecasts this far out.

In a recent issue I told you about a Friendship Tea that my troop was hosting. The event successfully raised almost $300 that we will now use to fund our Bronze Award project. In a couple of weekends my girls are putting on a river sweep and we are going to treat everyone who comes with a cookout and patch. Of course we are making a patch!

I’m thinking about bring my ScoutPatchHQ inventory to the NOAC TOR so people can shop in person. I’ve had several sales in the last week with guys going in and picking off pieces from their favorite OA lodges.
