Win a Free Patch – Best Guess Wins

I’ve got a new feature for the site that might be fun. I’m calling it the Price is Right. Here is how it works. I’ll pick an auction on eBay that has several days before close. Just like on the tv show you get one guess as to where it is going to close when all the bids are in. You win by getting the closest guess to the final sales price without going over. To play all you have to do is respond to this thread with your guess (one per member please). Of course any of those that come in after the item closes will be disqualified.

So what’s up first. I’m giving away a Charter Member Patchblanket.com Jacket Patch. This 6″ patch has the original Patchblanket logo.

The first auction that will be part of this game is:
1937 BOY SCOUT JAMBOREE PATCH PHOTOS LARGE GROUPING

This auction closes in about 48 hours so hurry up and get your Price Is Right guesses in and let’s give away a free patch!

Hey jason, nice job bringing out the responses! I guess it means you need to offer us patches to be active.

My guess will be $2351.

Quick update – with 10 1/2 hours to go the auction has 16 bids and is up to $1026. If you haven’t put in your best guess yet – you have about 8 hours left before we close it down!

The auction closed with a high bid of $1831 and that means the winner of the contest is gilaboy (aka Dave) with his best guess of $1295. Some folks might have been closer but just like on the Price is Right you can’t go over. Dave will get his jacket patch in the mail this weekend! Thanks to everyone for playing. I’m posting a new contest today! 😀
