Big Jim Award on four figure leather stampers!

BSA WOOD BADGE LEATHER STAMPS – INCLUDES EAGLE

Check out what the seller says:

Is there a beaver in the house? This auction is for ALL 9 of the Wood Badge stamps, including the eagle. The stamps are brand new in their original package. The stamps shown are the beaver, bobwhite, eagle, fox, owl, bear, buffalo, antelope and the axe & log. All symbols of Wood Badge and are highly collectible. Each of the eight critter stamps have the two-bead necklace around their neck. These stamps have been discontinued by the Boy Scouts of America and do not show up often and when they do it is usually only one of them. The eagle is not shown on the stamped leather but is included.
A search of the internet will show only one other complete set of these stamps for sale, and they are asking $3,600.00 for them.
These stamps are not only collectors items but you can make great gifts with them. I used mine to make gifts for the Wood Badge staff from the course I was on last year. I also made a nice belt I wore while I was there. Just look up all the Wood Badge items being sold on eBay made with these stamps and how simple they are to make. Start a business yourself selling Wood Badge gifts.

I’ve seen these type of bags sell on eBay for barely enough to cover the cost of shipping and handling. Obviously this seller things he has something pretty special here. Check out what he’s got it priced at!

BOY SCOUTS #573 HAVERSACK BACK PACK

The $1500 price tag represents a 58.3% discount from Critterloft, the place in Minnesota that is selling the complete set for $3600, so maybe it’s a steal! In looking more closely at the Critterloft store, they sell the other dies at only $85 each, but don’t have the Eagle or ax & log as singles. This means that you could get 7 of the critters for only $595, but the Eagle and ax & log would cost you an additional $3005 (or $1502.50 each). I guess I know which ones I’m going to “liberate” when I visit the arts & crafts building at Philmont. I mean, not that I would do such a thing, of course.

well.. i don’t get too excited about those woodbadge items anyway… when i took woodbadge in 1969, national was experimenting with the idea of non-traditional patrol names… as a result, i’m in the “Bat” patrol… and you *never* see a bat offered in these odd woodbadge items! 😛

on the pack, i’m sure the price is because “AFTER ALL IT IS A VINAGE BACK PACK”… ya know, you have to pay a premium for those “vinage” items!
