I leave Weds morning for a Girl Scout mini camp at the Summit. There will be just under 100 participants there from as far away as Chicago. We will get to spend all day Thursday and Friday doing the high adventure activities in the Summit center. There are even plans for a Girl Scout “Jamboree” to be held at the Summit next summer before the BSA even although this one will be tiny in comparison to the Boy Scout Jamboree.
Now that we are into June and many schools are about to let out for the summer eBay might slow down a bit. I sorta call it the summer doldrums after those winds that would kinda die off while the sailors were trying to make it across the ocean. Lots of people go on vacation and some Scouters have camps and other activities to tend to. Of course now that people have smart phones with the eBay app loaded up maybe the Boy Scout category won’t slack off as much as it used to.
Looking ahead I’ve chatted online with Brad England about bringing back or video show that’s two talking heads on a Google Hangout. We may even try and work in a guest or two to shake up the format so stay tuned as that is another late summer project.
It looks like by the end of June we will be settled in Charlotte and I can get started on my project to restock the shelves of my eBay store located at www.patchblanket.com. I’ve got boxes of patches already photographed and ready to go.
