Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 16, 2017

This week has been a fantastic start for my new online store at ScoutPatchHQ.com. Luckily I’ve got someone taking care of shipping while I’m gone to Jamboree so both of my stores will remain open. So far I’ve had two big purchases from New England collectors bringing stuff from the Marty Wasznicky collection home.

Next week I’m going to publish a new episode of my podcast that will lay out the different strategies I’ve seen people use over the years for patch trading at the Jamboree. I’m not talking about tips for how to trade but rather how I’ve seen people make it a money making enterprise. Stay tuned!

The idea for this podcast show is still percolating in my mind but I’ve got a few stories to tell. I’ve attended the last four Jamborees in the eBay era purely to trade patches as part of my business. I’ve seen all the tricks and shenanigans that guys have pulled. I have seen all the behind the scenes with TORs and back door deals. While this show won’t be a tell all it will have some good stuff.

With my eBay store subscription I get 1000 free auctions every month. This month I’ve banked all of those to use immediately after the Jamboree. Now if I can get that many items listed before August it would be a miracle but I’m hoping to bring back a lot of new stuff to load into my eBay store Patchblanket.com.
