Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 18, 2017

After the last Jamboree I was able to make two large purchases of sets which I’ve patiently kept in a box until now. While 2013 stuff might not trade as well this summer when you are talking about thousands of Scouts flowing through just about anything will trade. This Jamboree is a bit smaller with probably 30k people all together but that’s still lots of hands to shake and deals to make.

Yesterday I was able to use my new store to pull off an office cleaning trick. I found a big container with about 5 pounds of Jamboree paper that needed to go to a new home. I used my phone to list the items on my store (allows checkout) and then posted it to Facebook. The 1985 lot sold quickly but the 1969 and 1977 Jamboree Journal lots are still available.

Things have been going great with the new store at ScoutPatchHQ.com. Today marks it’s 1 week anniversary and surprisingly one of the most popular categories has been the $6 Shoulder Patches collection. This features hundreds of better issues like FOS, OA and some vintage pieces.

Today I am going into my eBay store and pulling down all the patches I brought back from the 2013 Jamboree that have not sold. They have been listed for 4 years now (man time flies) so it’s time to recycle them for some new cloth.
