Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 23, 2019

In the PM I was at our Scouts BSA meeting where my daughter Sophia passed her Board of Review for Second Class.  Next week is our Court of Honor which will be full of summer camp advancement.  I’m really thinking about running with an idea I’ve had for a long time now to mount a dozen or more merit badge sashes and type up labels to share some Scout history.  If I pull that off I’ll definitely share!

I got a collection in yesterday that came in 3 boxes.  I have absolutely no idea what’s in there so it sounds like a great opportunity for another fun unboxing video!  I’m not sure I will pull that off today but if I can it will be in Sunday’s newsletter.

Earlier in the week I was cleaning up the office and listed a bunch of stuff on Facebook for sale.  I sold everything from a 1973 Jamboree coin set to a $3 Smokey the Bear patch.  Although it can be a time killer I enjoy working out quick deals with people on FB and selling things that are sitting on my desk.

There is still time to take advantage of my August 15% off sale in my www.ScoutPatchHQ.com store.  The link will automatically add the discount to your shopping cart.  I have plans to begin about 20 boxes of stuff to that website this fall.  Some of these I photographed years ago but never did anything with that inventory.  The good thing about being in a warehouse is now that I can see everything I can circle back around to old projects.

I have completely updated the Friday TOR calendar below.  The listings in Orange are the ones that were added.  They are also reflected in the permanent calendar on my website.  I am going to pick up my daughter from field hockey practice and run out to the Lodge 104 TOR although I’ll only be there for a few hours I can still see the gang.
