Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 30, 2020

My mother always needs sewing projects to pass the time. When all this started she made 100 masks for her church so that they would have them available at worship if anyone forgot theirs at home. So about a month or so ago I visited her and brought a tote full of vintage BSA neckerchiefs.

She figured out a way to adapt her pattern to recycle these neckerchiefs into face masks. I recently got the first batch of 3-dozen finished masks from her and decided to take Chris’s idea and use the sales to support my camp. Since my mom is hand making each of these it just seems right to turn that work into a donation for a good cause.

You can find these masks in my store under the category BSA Face Masks. I am donating $3 from the sale of each mask to support our Camp Ranger at Barstow as he uses this Covid shut down to fix and beautify the camp. William has been sharing pictures on Facebook of the progress and it’s been great to see.

I have nearly 300 auctions ending tonight on eBay. Some of these are ones that I accidently ran as 10-day listings. But 234 are all OA flaps that I am running as a 7-day Sun-Sun auction strategy. I have 131 new auctions loaded up that will start tonight.

I went into the office yesterday and unboxed a collection that contained 41 pounds of cloth. That should be a video that I will get edited and posted next week. This collection will take some time to get listed but I am looking forward to getting started.
