Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 15, 2017

This past Friday I spent the bulk of the day in my antique mall booth adding lots of fresh inventory. One of those things was TOR style black boxes that pull out from a table. These are mostly filled with CSPs, rank & position patches and other miscellaneous patches that aren’t too valuable. It’s a shot in the dark to see if I can sell these out of the booth but I’ll try and see what happens.

Another unusual offering in my booth are these carded sets. So I went back to my days as a comic book collector and used the white holders to mount patches as sets. Some of these feature rank sets or position patch sets like one here devoted to old JASM patches. Again it’s just a way to kinda shake things up and continue to offer patches in my booth at the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall that are fun. In the background here you can see the $1 tub that I’ve got in the booth which is popular.

Some of the readers will know that Camp Coker is my home camp and that patch listed below is a hard variety. We call it the split canoe because normally this version has to Indians in the back of the canoe but not this one. These Indians are also missing their feathers so one collector began calling these frontiersman rather than Indians in a canoe.

My eBay run on 2017 Jamboree pieces continues through August. Right now I’ve got 700+ live auctions running on the site. Tomorrow is going to be a big shipping day for me as I’ve got about 100 orders that need to go out!
