Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 22, 2017

Before the Girl Scouts got here I had time to continue prepping and pricing things for the TOR this weekend in North Carolina. I priced items from my last collection pick-up and put together a notebook of stuff from the host lodge Occoneechee 104. All this has to end tomorrow when we meet back up with my wife at the beach.

I am taking a bunch of 2017 Jamboree sets to the TOR. I have no idea what the market will be for these at a show that I think mostly features OA collectors. But if you don’t take it you can’t sell it so I’ll roll the dice.

One of the deals I’ve already made for this weekend is on a whole set of modern merit badges. Now that gets interesting because in many ways the only difference in these badges over the last twenty years is the backing. So I’ll be flipping them over and trying to sort out which issue they are. Some of the newest badges are only in one type so it’s sorta like a jigsaw puzzle but everything is round.

I am under 500 live auctions on eBay but I’m continuing to let these horses run. I have no idea how many cumulative auctions I’ve run this month but I’m sure it’s approaching 5000+. As time goes on more of them finish without a bid but I’m still getting some steady sales so I’ll keep it going.
