Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter September 22, 2017

I have to credit my wife with giving me the idea to use the term “Hot Finds” to describe these auctions. She is a magazine editor and they would run a section where they would feature items being promoted as advertisers. So when crafting this newsletter I borrowed that theory with one important distinction. All of these picks are organic. I spend a few hours surfing the usually 10,000+ live auctions in the category and deliver the less than 100 that I think are really can’t miss.

I’ve been running websites for the hobby since way back in the 1990s. My most popular site is www.ScoutPatchCollectors.com where I host all my content. That includes my audio only podcast, YouTube video links and of course the archive for this newsletter.

I have sort of a “be everywhere” mentality when it comes to the hobby so I”m also all over Facebook, Twitter etc. I’ve created a mother page for all the stuff I’ve got going on at www.Santeeswapper.com.

As one of the serious patch dealers on the Internet I run a pair of complimentary stores. My main bread winner is my eBay store that has 8500 items at www.Patchblanket.com. In the last few months I’ve branched out and built my own website at www.ScoutPatchHQ.com to be able to bring better deals to my customers without the middle man.
