Today’s issue of the newsletter is loaded with plenty of good pickings for any window shopper or serious collector. You can find old books, patches and BSA gear just a click away as everything is a hot link that will take you to eBay.
Ok I am a little bias but that generic looking Chicora Chapter patch listed below is really a legendary tough issue from my lodge. It was issued in the late 1970s so when I got into the OA in 1986 it was one of those toughies that might take you several years to land. If I wasn’t sitting on a dump truck load full of 116 dupes I might bid high just to get a dupe.
I pretty much have the patch cave sorted out and it looks like I have enough inventory to stock another antique mall booth. If I was smart I’d do my homework in the Charlotte area and find a good one. There are a million people in Mecklenburg County and maybe three times that in the metropolitan footprint. I view this antique mall strategy as a way to get bulky stuff (books, uniforms, 3D objects) out of the house. As long as it breaks even every month I’m happy and some months I might even get a nice check.
I’m back into the swing of listing live auctions on eBay. With one new consignor my goal is to average 20-25 new listings per day. This collection will have a ton of OA flaps and Jamboree sets and JSPs from the last twenty+ years. You can see what I’ve got up by clicking this link to my live eBay auctions.
