I’d agree with ISCA…. but for $.99 let’s take a chance! step over the line! live a little! place a bid!

I was going to bid but the $2.00 shipping scared me away… so I decided to watch it instead.
Clarification: $2.00 s&h isn’t unreasonable if you mail in a padded envelope like the auction says, however for a patch I really don’t need $2.99 is too much for me to spend.
A few more reasons why people watch, and not necessarily on this auction item:
They have one and, just out of curiosity, want to see what you get for it.
They want to see how many bidders there are to decide then if they want to sell the one they have to fill the demand.
They might bid later if the price stays low enough.
They want to laugh at the ridiculously high listing price when it doesn’t sell or be astonished if it really does sell.
They used to be a member of that council and want to send an email to the winning bidder to see if it is an old friend.
They want to prove to their wife that they could have gotten that kind of money if they would have sold their patch.
I’ll bet this list could be expanded with more contributions from other members!!
of course you can never go wrong buying on ebay– afterall, *everything* is “rare” and “vintage”….. 😀
Sorry, I can’t help you with an identification, but I can speculate on the watchers.
1. They’re generic camporee collectors.
2. They’re year-of-birth collectors born in 1961.
3. They’re cut edge patch collectors.
4. They collect this unknown council’s patches.
5. All of the above.
