Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter September 11, 2016

Patrick keeps telling me he doesn’t care about working on patches (he’s 7!) Despite my trying to explain that it’s nothing like that I’ll have to show him in person Monday night. It looks like my daughter will have meetings the same nights as Cubs so it might be the cooling off of my tenure as a Girl Scout leader. I’m encouraging my wife to continue and to consider volunteering to help with the new Girl Scout troop so we can make Mondays our scout night.

I’m super excited to be attending the Columbus Ohio TOR next month in the inaugural trip of the Patch Tradin’ Bus. Chris Jensen (I hope you don’t mind me sharing) just purchased a 28′ bus to replace his famous BART. He is going to have some amazing hauling capacity and since he only lives a few counties over I hope to hit the TOR circuit with him this year.

I’ve got a lot of OA in this issue including a couple of don’t miss items. I love the classic design of the 1957 Area 9D Meeting pictured earlier. People from North Carolina are watching the auction on the Klahican neckerchief.

I have a pretty good run going on live auctions including this really old felt camp patch from North Carolina. This one was issued by the Occoneechee Council and is dated 1942. Along with that I’ve got a bunch of OA, JSPs and some nice football usher patches live on the auction boards. Pretty soon I’ll have items from three different consignors up and running so I’m picking up steam as I transition back to full time eBay guy.
