Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter August 21, 2018

Sometimes you have to step away from the hustle and take care of a family obligation. I’ve been out of action for a couple of days taking my mom to get a procedure done. She needed a chauffeur and her youngest son was a good candidate. I’m happy to report she got good results and now I’m back in the office to push through in a busy week.

We close on the new house Thursday morning. I had hoped that we would be moving over the weekend but instead I think that time will be spent finishing the packing. So that time line means I’ll be running the moving crew Monday.

One positive step for the business is my new employee starts tomorrow at 8:30 AM. We’ve got lots of shipping to do so I’ll throw her right in deep and get her coached up on all the procedures.

Tomorrow I also have an appointment with a somewhat local person to look at a small collection. This one is a bit of a mystery but I have a good feeling about it based on the one photo I’ve seen so far.

Thursday night I plan on being at a local elementary school recruiting for our Cub Scout pack. This will be a big dive into the Scout Me In campaign to bring female Cubs into the program and I’m anxious to have those conversations.

This fall I plan to bring back Scouting Hot Finds Radio my podcast for the hobby with some new guests and interviews. The link above will take you to the hosting page where you can see all the episodes I’ve ever done.
