Ebay item

can anyone tell what this patch is? thanks Jay

the longhorns shape makes me think Texas and the loaded pack mule sorta reminds of a Philmont symbol but that is not my area. Anybody else have an idea!?

This is an old philmont commisarry patch from the early 40’s or 50’s hard item to find for philmont collectors!

Quoting Mike McAdams from an email on Patch-L about this patch:

“It has been attributed to the St Louis Council Camping / Camp Promotions Committee. This is the group that organized the Philmont Expeditions for the council. Some of them even went along, so the patch was listed in an earlier Philmont book. We did not list it because it isn’t even a contingent patch.”

As some of you might know Mike is one of the authors/editors of the Philmont memorabilia guide.
