Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter October 22, 2017

This year we are adding a silent auction to the schedule. I know this is a favorite activity for many at shows and it’s something that can help raise more money for the Pack. The other cool side is we have 75+ years of Scouting history at the church. I’m sure we can get some of the old timers to donate some good stuff that might also help draw out the locals to place bids.

Another visitor friendly move is to eliminate the admission fee all together. The hard core traders don’t care about paying $2 to come to a show but being able to say Free Admission is a lot more inviting to the Cubs and Scouts that we are also advertising to.

One idea we were forced to postpone was setting up a pop-up museum in part of the church. That’s a dream of mine to create a real event that is Scout friendly. So this year we will add the silent auction and maybe next year we can add another new feature.

On my eBay store there are 77 live auctions all from a consignment of Jamboree issues. With the end of the month approaching I’ll probably do a huge relist of unsold items tonight to continue to work through my 1000 “free” auctions.
