Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter September 20, 2015

SHF_sep_20

I am a little surprised to see that the sash pictured below is over $500 in bidding. Not that there aren’t some great 1940s era merit badges on there but from the not so great pictures it appears that everything is trimmed. As some of you know when you trim a crimped edge MB it sometimes makes it impossible to identify what era it is from. But somebody knows what they are doing and I wish them luck landing it.

This block is still full of new stuff but the old vintage stuff is rising to the top. In the upper right hand corner of this issue you will find a charter member flap that is hot off the presses. Just in the last few weeks Abnaki merged and changed it’s lodge # so we now have a new lodge. Obviously a lot of collectors need that new S1!

The old vest below is full of 1940’s era activity and camp patches. I’m glad I found that one to stick in the newsletter! It’s probably going to get down to a good old fashioned bidding war which is what eBay loves to see.

I am running a 25% off sale in my eBay store on over 1,600 council activity patches. I’ve got them from all over the country from the 1950s to modern issues. Click to check it out.
