Yesterday I had two visitors at the patch warehouse. Doug Chambers has been helping me sort through maybe 50 pounds of pins that I have accumulated over the last twenty years of buying collections. I like pins but they have always been one of those things that I tossed in a box which eventually turned into multiple boxes of unsorted metal. Doug is the pin guy that some of you will remember from the video I recorded with him 5 years ago.

My other visitor was Matt Breneman who came to get the large binders he purchased a couple months ago but also to see what Occoneechee stuff I had from his area. It was a good visit and we looked at patches, caught up on some good news in his life and of course made some deals. He joked that he has been keeping an eye out for a VW Bus that he could use to trade me for a couple of key 104 issues that I have. There are legends of people trading patches for cars so who knows!

Last night at the Scout meeting I did a little show and tell. In a box that I opened yesterday there was a really good patch vest that was 70+ years old. I told the guy that one of the first things I was going to do was take it to my meeting and let the Scouts see the history there. Organizing my collection has kinda been my COVID project here lately and I hope that in the future I can do that more and more.

I’ve been talking to some other eBay sellers about the strategy of trying to get more impressions on the platform. To that end for about two weeks I’m blowing through some 99 cent CSP auctions to get more eyes on my store. Some of these are ending tonight and every night for the next 10 days on my eBay Store.

This weekend I’m going camping with the troop and I have volunteered to do another Low Country Boil. This time we have Webelos joining us and Saturday night I am going to treat the leaders and guests to a good old shrimp boil. I love car camping. LOL
