Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter November 25, 2018

Although the holiday season is upon us there is a TOR just around the corner that I’ll be attending. The longest running TOR in North Carolina will be held two weekends from now. The Old Hickory TOR is held in Winston-Salem, NC. This year they are adding a live and silent auction Saturday.

The Saturday of the Old Hickory show I’ll be hiking with my Cub Scout den at Crowder’s Mountain. After meeting last week for a planning meeting we decided the boys were ready for a challenge so we are taking them up the mountain and praying for good weather.

I anticipate sending out a Cyber Monday email to all my Best Hobby Pages customers. The sale I have been running this weekend on eBay has rung up some good sales so I’ll probably come up with a minimum purchase discount code of some kind to encourage people to stock up for the holidays.

With the auctions launched last night and those ending soon I’m up to 172 live auctions on eBay. Yesterday I went to my UPS box and picked up my all redesigned business card. I ordered 5000 of them and will start using them Monday to include in every order I ship.

One thing on my to-do list this month is checking in with my co-author (and now United States Marine) Nathan Kohler to get our updates nailed down for the 2019 version of A Patch Collectors Guide To Santee Lodge 116. With a lodge hosted TOR coming up in a little over a month it’s a good deadline to get everything new put in and some minor corrections made.
