Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter December 20, 2015

I am curious to see how much that Jamboree flag goes for. I’ve got one from 1981 that was for a VA Council that I’ve been sitting on for a while. The other cool auction here is the nice Alabama group that includes a Cherokee 50 Dance Team jacket patch. As I got to publish it is just over $100 with 3 hours to go.

For anybody looking to flip some patches individually for cash there is a nice lot pictured to the right that has potentially a lot of $5-$10 patches in it that could be pieced out. Just an idea for one of you entrepreneurs that likes to dabble in that.

An old square Eagle patch for $25. Seems to me like most of us would buy that all day. I gave one of my students who recently earned his 1st Class a set of patches from the 1955-64 era including Tenderfoot, 2nd and 1st class. He was over the moon. Great to see a kid so excited about Scouting.

My sales have definitely slowed this week as things are headed into the Christmas season. However as you can tell by this email newsletter there are still plenty of items for sale in the category. I’m keeping watch to see if the category will reach 200,000 live items – sorta like watching the patch stock market I guess.
