National Jamboree & JSPs: from 1935 to 2010 this book has items represented from every National Scout Jamboree every held by the Boy Scouts of America. This book contains 231 listings and runs 73 pages representing the very best items that sold in this category. Of course it is heavily weighted towards items from the first couple Jamborees but you would be surprised to see how many recent items made the list.

Insignias & Uniforms: It doesn’t get more classic than patches and uniforms from the earliest days of the Scouting movement. The cover tells the story of this book – Air Scout, Sea Scout, Explorers along with early rank and position patches. Since so many uniforms that sold on eBay have a combination of some of these patches I decided to build that into this book. In fact the #1 selling item in the book was a fantastic Sea Scout uniform that had some incredible medals and patches on it. All together 187 items covered in 68 pages.

Medals & Awards This book covers some of the most treasured Scouting collectibles including all the award medals such as Life Saving, Silver Beaver, Silver Antelope, Silver Fawn, Silver Buffalo. It also has many of the rank medals such as those for the Explorer, Sea Scout and Air Scout programs. All told there are 250 items in this book that collectors can investigate. The broad category also includes rings such as Chief Winners Circle and other Scouting rings. You can find War Service, religious medals and vintage contest medals among the items that sold for over $100.

Equipment, Knives & Miscellaneous Lots Call it the grab bag in a 163 page book! The book is filled with the best selling items like bugles, tents, knives, axes, blankets, patch vests and more. There are several Woodbadge items included as they didn’t fit in any of my other books. The book includes 561 different items including some amazing mixed lots. For example you will see some great collections that sold for more than a thousand dollars. Basically, if lots were so mixed that they didn’t fit into one of my other editions they ended up in here. So while its not in the title you are going to find groups of old felt camp patches, vintage insignia, and more!

Camp Memorabilia & Philmont Felt camp patches, rare staff neckerchiefs and lots and lots of Philmont items await you in this guide featuring everything that sold for over $100 in 2011. The book includes 223 different items including mixed lots, high adventure bases and even a camp sign! If you collect Philmont this book is a must have but I think seasoned collectors who are interested in areas such as segregated Scouting will also appreciate this edition.

Books & Paper This book is dedicated to all things paper. This can include rare handbooks including ones written in the early days of the movement by Baden-Powell. Some notable posters made the listing including the classic War Bonds poster from WWI. But the items that sold for more than $500 are dominated by Boy Scout handbooks from the early teens.

Council Insignia: CSPS, CPs & RWS Contains 315 items and covers all shoulder council insignia such as council shoulder strips (CSPs) and Red & White Strips (RWS). Among the rarest items are khaki and red half strips and color variations issued for Cub Scouts, Air Scouts, Sea Scouts and Explorers. There are a few round council patches that made the cut as well. Even though there is a CSP guide in circulation wouldn’t you like to know what these great pieces really sell for!?
