About the same time that an Air Scout Ace medal was getting some eye-popping bids I had my eye on the khaki background aerodynamics merit badge. So in checking back in that auction I also spotted these other great listings from the last week on eBay. Some of them were featured in the Hot Finds newsletter so you might be curious to see how they ended up. Click the link to see how high they climbed before the gavel fell.
I wanted to come up with a post that was clever and out of the ordinary so here goes. Have you noticed that sometimes on eBay when there are a number of bids in an auction the final result can be pretty surprising? I searched through tons of closed listings and found 5 items where the final sales price was a bit of a shock to me. Now for some of you who are more refined and have more experience with these particular niche' items maybe these results are right in line. However, I think most of you will raise an eyebrow when you click over and see where the price was when the gavel fell on these recent eBay auctions.

I am not making this up! The Top-5 OA flaps to sell on eBay over the last thirty days only got one bid. Technically, three of the five sold as a BIN so you might not even call that a "bid" but more of a purchase. The F1 from my home lodge came in at #2 at a pretty good price although it had some blue on the back. The #1 selling Wahissa S1 didn't last up on eBay for long. I think it got scooped up pretty quickly.

If you have been following my Top-3 posts on ScoutingHotFinds then you will not be surprised to know that in the last few weeks 5 different Scout books/handbooks have sold in the category for over $1000+. Needless to say this dwarfs the rest of the big auctions since there have only been a few other items that have crossed that line in recent weeks.
