I always like to report back on some of the more unusual items that do well in the Boy Scout category. The five listings that I’ve featured here all sold in 2011 and left some collectors scratching their heads. The interesting Saigon memorabilia even prompted some comments from readers of the Hot Finds Newsletter. You might wonder why I included the Girl Scout sash in this post. Well it technically WAS listed in the Boy Scout category and with it selling for more than $400 I figured it earned its ranking. The FOB is a really unique piece considering that it’s from the teens and not something you see up for auction very often. The final piece on this list is a hat that was sold by manionsusa. I had a Hot Finds reader also question me about this particular auction so I included it on the list. I tried to give him a little bit of the history on the American Boy Scout movement because he thought this was clearly not a BSA issue – and he was right!
