I spent part of the weekend at Camp Coker where Muscogee Lodge 116 held their Fall Inductions Weekend. It was good to see old friends and to witness over 40 Scouts and adults go through their Ordeal. The new lodge has settled in a calendar of alternating between the two camps and it was good to see some cheerful service projects underway.
This week I am setting up a history display at a dinner in Florence, SC to celebrate the largest donation ever gifted to Camp Coker and the former PDAC. This transformational investment will allow the camp to grow into a new focus. I’ve heard training, Cub Scouts and weekend troop camping among the ideas mentioned. There is a committee working on plans and I look forward to seeing what they come up with.
On my OApatch account I have 69 auctions running this week on OA from the Carolinas and beyond. I know that not many of you are into collecting military, NASA and sports patches but over on Santeeswapper Store I’ve started auctioning off a few hundred of those to see what they go for.
On Santeeswapper tonight I have some of the rarest OA pieces ending that I’ve put up for bids in 2023. These include the First Flap event issue from 237 and several more.
