This is one of the special perks of being at camp – amid the chaos of having a full week I get to take Scout leaders out on a twilight pontoon boat cruise to see some beautiful wildlife and the setting sun over Lake Murray. This picture was from last nights trip after a light rain storm came through.
This week I have 157 live auctions on eBay. One of the things you can look for over the next month is about 500 council event patches that are 50+ years old. I have good results with testing things at auction to see what the market is.
Tonight I will finally get to do the Pop Up Scout Museum idea that I’ve had for a while. It will be focused on the idea of campfire blankets. I do have a more American patch vest that’s a local to Columbia. But the main push is the idea of sewing all of your Scouting memories on a blanket. One of my Scouting mentors passed a few years ago and I have his as well.
