Friday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter July 01, 2022
We now have a sold out Pre-NOAC Trade-O-Ree coming up this month in Knoxville, TN and I hope you are going to be there. Like many I have reserved tables and will be bringing my very best stuff. Word on the street is some major collections are being offered for sale as well so there should be a lot of cloth changing hands.
My camp season ends on July 17 so I will have a short turn around before I leave for NOAC. Luckily my family is vacationing over the July 4th week so I can finally get some family time after a month of being at camp. I am sure that the brief hours I am home Saturday afternoon are mostly me sleeping so my wife will be ready for all this fun to end and life to go back to normal.
On eBay I have 131 live auctions running right now. Instead of my normal run of 25 live auctions every night I am off the goal. For vacation next week my wife is threatening to not let us take our computers so I will see if that idea carries the day or not.
Week 3 has gone really well thanks to some great Scout leaders who have stepped up to help in many areas. The weather has been wet but that has kept the temperatures down which is a trade off I’ll gladly take. The Scouts are having fun which is always the goal!

I started collecting Boy Scout memorabilia when I was inducted into Santee Lodge 116, Order of the Arrow at Camp Coker in the summer of 1986. All the guys of ISWA chapter in Elk campsite seemed to be trading and since my dad sent me to camp with a small bag of patches, I jumped in and never looked back....
