Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter January 12, 2024

Tomorrow I am going to devote most of my day to patch business outside the warehouse. In the morning, I am going to my antique mall booth at the Sleep Poet to add in a bunch of new inventory and move things around. I think I will swap out the dollar patches and bring a lot more framed items. I also have a visit with a family to look at an estate situation that might be really good. Fingers crossed!

The last two months of sales at the booth have been very slow. That might be a result of folks not particularly shopping for vintage BSA for the holidays. But more likely it’s because I need to switch things up and deliver some new items. I’ve got a shelf full to price and display in the booth so that’s my big project for Monday.

This week is also leading up to the Trade-O-Ree that I have attended more than any other – Chris Jensen’s SC TOR in Easley. I have probably been to the majority of these shows since he started hosting them in the early 1990s. With his reach it does draw people from other states. This TOR is the only show in the Palmetto state each year so it’s key for areas I collect.

I am back in the auction game with 91 live auctions running this week. I have added SAPs to the line up along with some high-quality items that I have been sorting.
