Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter January 13, 2015

This coming Thursday the board of the International Scouting Collectors Association (ISCA) will be having the annual board meeting preceding the Dallas TOR. One of the big topics will be results from a recent survey that some of you probably filled out. Around 250 people responded to the inquiry and the results could help point ISCA in the right direction going forward.

As I read the results it confirmed to me that many of the projects I’ve been taking on the last year or two are what the hobby wants. Interviews, informational videos, and building ways for collectors to interact and strengthen the hobby. I’ve got even bigger plans going in that direction during the new year and I hope ISCA will make that a push also.

Coming out of the board meeting we will also hear what ISCA will be doing at the NOAC. With Chris Jensen hosting the TOR that is off the list but I’m sure there are other ways the organization can make a difference at the event.

If you have any of your own words of wisdom for the conversation please share them with me in an email. A lot of people got things off their chest using the survey but I’m always open to ideas, opinions and critiques.

Today I’m driving back down to my new antique mall booth to hopefully finish stocking it. I’ve been taking pictures every time I visit so when the dust settles I’ll share those in a video and kinda tell the story.

Brad England and I are going to try and film a new episode of Thread Heads from the two competing TORs this weekend. With luck we can work out the technical issues and have a live broadcast with Brad in Dallas and me in South Carolina at Jensen’s show.
