United Confederate Veterans Atlanta Reunion October 1919

I got this message from a Scouter named Robert Thomas in Alabama. I thought it was a neat piece with a bit of history so I thought I’d share. Of course if you can help him his email is: [email protected]

Boy Scout-UCV pinI am a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and a Scouter and am looking for a Boy Scout pin from the United Confederate Veterans Atlanta Reunion in October 1919. These were given to Scouts that escorted and assisted the old vets at the reunion. Many were quite old and infirm and needed help getting around and many were in wheelchairs since this was almost 50 years after the war between the states ended. Do you have one or know someone that does?

Unfortunately I don’t have the badge you are looking for but am in possession of a photograph of “Uncle Steve Eberhart” at the 1919 Atlanta, Georgia UCV Reunion with a young Boy Scout standing nearby. I don’t want to sell it but would be glad to share with you. Also, am trying to find out more information on the 1919 UCV Reunion in Atlanta and was wondering if you point me in the right direction? Sincerely, Lee Joyner
