Sunday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 4, 2018

As I’ve been to recent TORs I’ve been keeping an eye out for ideas that I can bring back for the Charlotte TOR. The Indy TOR is really impressive and the funds generated go towards camperships. The live auction had some nice pieces that brought in some good bids. The people were also very helpful and friendly. I’ll definitely be back in 2019.

The best thing I picked up was a bad ass Boy Scout bomber jacket. This one was made in Korea by a Scouter in the service back about 20-25 years ago. He showed up at some TORs with these and they sold for a pretty penny. I in turn had to pay a pretty penny for this one but it fits me so well I’m going to wear it every chance I get. I have to thank Matt Becker for grabbing me and showing me this was available for sale.

When in Indianapolis you have to stop by and get your picture taken with Garfield. I went on this adventure with Chris Jensen in his patch bus. Coming home we sailed through with no wet weather arriving in SC about 1:30 AM. I got to spend the night at his apartment at the storage unit business and then we loaded up my car under cover in the rain. My wife is not looking forward to me being gone again for these long 4 day trips but I promised her my next TOR was a quick Friday/Saturday 1 night deal in Norfolk, VA later this month.
