After 18+ hours of driving over thousands of miles I am home from the Indy TOR. I made a gigantic circle around the eastern part of the country. Leaving Charlotte going north through VA and WV before heading west into OH and IN. Then coming home I drove south through KY and TN before crossing the mountains near Asheville this morning. All this to chase more patches!
The TOR was great as always and might have have included more vendors that last year. I don’t know if the foot traffic was as great this year but I saw plenty of Scouts in uniform. The best part was speaking to so many of the subscribers who stopped by chat and laugh about Scouting stories. Of course several also congratulated me on the news I shared in the last newsletter.
Today I got to have lunch with my daughter with a pit stop to her college. She told me that she is going to apply to work at Philmont this summer. I was thrilled to hear it. I joked with her that it would be yet another Scouting adventure that her dad has never done. So far that list is: attend Florida Sea Base, World Jamboree, hike Philmont and Staff a National Jamboree….that’s pretty strong.
I have 100 auctions ending tonight including some great FLA and southern OA, RWS, camp patches and more. Be sure to follow my store so that you can get coupons emailed and notifications when I run sales.
