Tuesday Scouting Hot Finds Newsletter February 18, 2025

With stops it will take me over 6 hours to get to the VA Beach Trade-O-Ree. Luckily, it’s kinda a straight shot east on I-85 for me. Sadly, as the TOR is in February I have never actually seen the beach at this show. I have one stop to make on the way there. So it’s nice to be able to line up some picking opportunities when I am putting that many miles on my patch van.

Today I’m hoping to pick up a really nice collection from my UPS Store. The caveat is that some of the neckerchiefs have some mildew which I have never faced before. I am pretty good at getting OA sashes and neckerchiefs to come back to life with an OxiClean soak. But I don’t know what kinda damage I am up against.

Today I am going to be working to finish listing some items I picked up in Atlanta last month. These include some nice Conclave items from Georgia. I am going to have to get out my needs list as I have a nice collection of all the conclave patches from the old Region 6.

On eBay I have 163 live auctions featuring many OA flaps that we have sorted in the warehouse. Through most of 2025 we have consistently added a minimum of 50 new items to the store every day. This strategy will be tested when I fly out to Las Vegas in early March for a reseller conference. But I’m hoping that meeting hundreds of other online sellers along with representatives from eBay and other companies will give me some ideas and connections.
