Comments:Food will be available for sale throughout the event. A patch for this event will be available for $5. Plenty of free parking is right near the building. Come buy, sell, and trade patches, neckerchiefs, slides, pins, uniforms, knives, and more! There will be a silent auction each day of the event. All donations for auctions are welcome. All proceeds from this event will go to benefit Boy Scout Troop 292.


Hi Sheryl,I certainly agree that a patch would help iarcense interest in JOTA among Girl Scouts. My involvement as JOTA Organizer is with the Boy Scouts, which also includes our co-ed Venturing program. I recommend inquiring with the Girl Scouts. I did find a link . I also found the link to the original ARRL story at That at least shows that others have been interested. I also saw the article in the September QST and complimented the author, Debra Johnson K1DMJ, on getting this information out. She told me that she’d received a number of favorable comments.
